Beginning Acting
Fundamental actor training available to actors at all levels of experience including beginners. Focuses on beginning acting techniques within the scene study or monologue format. Class concludes with performances before an invited audience.
Beginning Acting Intensive
Stanislavsky techniques are established. Fundamental actor training available to actors at all levels of experience including beginners. Focuses on beginning acting techniques within the scene study or monologue format.
Acting Technique 1
An Intensive focus on the isolation of acting elements. Concepts such as beats and objectives are focused on withing the scene study and monologue format. Class concludes with performances before an invited audience.
Acting Technique 2
Technique training for the more experienced actor. Personalization and Given Circumstances concepts are developed within the scene study and monologue format. Class concludes with performances before an invited audience. (Prerequisite Tech 1 or staff recommendation)
Acting Technique 3
Continuation of work on personalization and given circumstances with a focus on truthful interaction. Class concludes with performances before an invited audience.(Prerequisite Tech 2 or staff recommendation)
Scene Study
This is an advanced acting class that ensures the actor has a complete process for creating a role. Principles of directing, and the artists creative will are expanded. Advance through professional levels work out in an envirionment of creativity and accountability. Scene study and monologue format. Class concludes with performances before an invited audience. (Prerequisite Tech 3 or Staff Recommendation)
Theater Acting Workshop
This course was designed to enable the actor to develop a lead character in a play. From casting, to rehearsal and tech week, a play is prepared, with the focus being on the actor, for public viewing. This enables them to build experience and begin building credits.
Beginning Film Acting
Focus is on the technique of acting specifically for film and television. Students discover the art and craft of cinematic performance while learning to adapt their skills to the special requirements of the camera. A prepared 1-2 min monologue is required for first class.

Film Acting
Deeper exploration of camera acting technique. Use of text to discover and isolate "experienced" moments on film, with particular emphasis on concentration, relaxation, imagination and listening. Extensive examination of the close-up and reaction shot. This course is designed for intermediate to advanced students.

Film Acting Workshop
Creation of professional quality short films shot in studio and on-location. Students will work with faculty and visiting filmmakers to develop, plan and execute completed works of dramatic quality and high artistic merit, showcasing their talents and gaining material for an actor's reel.

Script Analysis
A line-by-line analysis of scripts to define the behavior and emotional life of characters. Personalization and authors "ruling idea" are covered.

Acting Elements
Based on Chekhov's pyschological gesture. This course was designed to bring the actor to their fullest potential by expanding and deepening the rehearsal process through muscle memory. The focus is on giving depth to personalization, building the inner and outer life of the character, and creating powerful objectives.

A step by step process for auditioning preparation. Instructor will demystify the process and create a positive professional approach to auditioning in the acting industry.
